Service Description

Classes run (14 classes) Monday 6pm to 7pm Wednesday 6pm - 7pm Course Dates: Course Dates (Monday and Wednesday 6pm to 7pm) Week 1: 9th Sept & 11th Sept Week 2: 16th & 18th Sept Week 3: 23rd & 25th Sept Week 4: 30th Sept & 2nd Oct Week 5: 7th & 9th Oct Week 6: 14th & 16th Oct Week 7: 21st & 23rd Oct The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the fundamentals of our Shaolin Kung Fu program in fun and welcoming classes. The classes are dedicated to teaching the foundations of our Kung Fu programs. It consists of a warmup with dynamic stretching, a brief cardio and strength session followed by drilling content from the 1st Belt of our Senior Kung Fu program. We generally finish the hour with a few minutes of core work before bowing out. It is highly recommended that you make these classes a priority and attend the full course to build a good base for future training with us. Our program covers elements from our two Kung Fu Styles: - Longfist and Whitecrane and you will learn the fundamentals and then develop your knowledge to build your practical skills. Over the duration of the course, we will teach you the full content of the White Belt with a view to preparing you for a grading a few weeks later if you wish to pursue it. We will then look forward to welcoming you to our full program and preparing you for the next stage of your training. The 14 classes will focus upon building your fundamental skills such as: - Stances, Movements and postures from our Kung Fu Styles - Hand techniques for punching and blocking - Kicking techniques for self defense and for future sparring - Grappling drills and escapes - Self defense against grabs, punches and low kicks. - Mobility and conditioning There are no fitness and age requirement except that this course is aimed at adult members of our community.
